How To Get People To Buy Your Sh*t More Often

Imagine this…

You have a product that you are offering to the masses.

It currently is selling okay, but you don’t get the benefit of having repeat customers.

What do you do to get them to buy more of your products more often?

Well, you get your customers to build a habit around using your product.

“Sounds good Maverick, but how do I do that. I don’t know how to build products where people build habits around them.”

Well, no worries…here are the only three things you need to know when it comes to creating a habit.

In order for people to form habits around your product or service, they need to have three things present.

  1. A cue

  2. A routine

  3. A reward

That’s it.

When you build your products or services then you need to keep those three things in mind.

Let’s take a closer look shall we.

First you will need some sort of cue.

Something that will trigger the person.

For instance.

Let’s say you have a new automotive product that keeps cars clean and dirt free after it rains. There is no need to visit car washes more often as your product works like a self cleaner with rain washing away stuck on dirt.

Your job is to now find a cue or trigger.

It could be the rain itself, of when the car gets dirty or dusty.

That can be your cue.

This is what you will focus on when you talk to your customers so that when they see it raining, when they see rain in the forecast they will begin to associate it with your product.

Now, you need a routine.

What will they need to do?

Well, it could be that after it rains or when the car gets dirty they whip out your trusty car cleaner and simply spray and wipe their car down.

Then when it rains again in the future, their vehicle will shed water without leaving behind layers of dirt and dust.

Their car stays cleaner and looking like factory new more often.

Lastly, now they need a reward.

Seems to me that by not having to go to the car wash nearly as often would save them money.

It would save them time that they can use for other interests they have.

Now having learned this…

Your job is to simply create products or services with the three things mentioned in this article in mind and answer these questions.

  1. What’s my cue or trigger?

  2. What’s the routine?

  3. What’s the reward?

Until next time
