The Copywriters Secrets For Getting Readers to Read Their Copy From Beginning To End
Ok so today I want to talk about a copywriting strategy that I’ve used over the years to keep readers reading my copy from the beginning to the end.
And today I’m going to show you how professional copywriters do it.
So, if you are ready let’s dive in shall we.
In order to keep readers reading your copy from beginning to the end you might have heard copywriters mention a tactic call “opening a loop”.
Basically what you are doing is giving your reader a piece of relevant information but in the form of a tease.
Then you simply go on to talk about something else before you give them the answer.
Sounds simple enough right?
But how do you use this to keep people reading your copy all the way to the end?
What you do is you keep doing that throughout your entire sales message.
However, even though you might have heard this before, what was never told to you was how do you actually do it?
Ok, here is what you do.
First you write out your entire copy.
Do not create any loops.
You’ll see why in just a minute.
After you have finished writing your copy, then you go back and start putting in your loops.
So, for example.
Let’s say you are writing a salesletter about natural health cures for foot fungus.
And in it you talked about the common household item that can get rid of the fungus overnight.
Since you already know that this information is in the salesletter, then what you would do is go up a few paragraphs above that information and open a loop.
You could say something like, "I’m going to tell you about the common household item that you can use to get rid of any foot fungus overnight, but first blah blah blah.”
Professional copywriters use this tactic for opening loops all throughout their copy once it is written.
It works because you can go look at your copy you wrote and because you know where it is going you can open a loop.
Put another way, you are opening a loop by looking ahead for what is already written and then going back and making the loop refer to what’s coming up.
And there you have it.
Now go ahead and start using it in your copy today.
